Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE:LVLT, news, filings) announced today that it called for redemption all of its outstanding $195,702,000 aggregate principal amount of 5.25% Convertible Senior Notes due 2011 at a price equal to 100.75% of the principal amount thereof. These notes mature on December 15, 2011. The redemption date is February 18, 2011.
Additional information regarding the redemption of the notes is available from The Bank of New York Mellon, the trustee with respect to the notes. The company intends to fund the redemption of the notes using a portion of the net proceeds of the sale of Level 3 Communications, Inc.’s newly issued 11.875% Senior Notes due 2019.
