FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MONDAY, APRIL, 12, 2010

México, D.F. — Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider, today announced Continental Automotive Guadalajara has chosen Global Crossing’s international long distance services to improve efficiency and productivity in its telecommunications.  Continental Automotive Guadalajara signed a three-year contract with Global Crossing for its Managed Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) services and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Outbound service.

Continental Automotive Guadalajara manufactures automotive parts, such as airbag units, information systems, immobilizers, fuel injection controls, anti-lock braking system (ABS) units and access control units.  With the shift to Global Crossing’s technology using Managed DIA and VoIP, Continental Automotive Guadalajara can make international long distance calls connecting their worldwide offices, as well as to their clients and suppliers abroad.

Global Crossing’s Managed DIA service will provide Continental Automotive Guadalajara with an Internet connection for data transmission with the speed, security and reliability that only a Tier 1 Internet Service Provider (ISP) can bring.  Furthermore, with the VoIP Outbound product, Continental Automotive Guadalajara will connect to Global Crossing’s converged IP network through dedicated installations that provide flexibility and enhanced productivity.  By putting its voice and data traffic on the same network architecture, Continental Automotive Guadalajara will realize all the benefits that a reduction in infrastructure, management and maintenance brings.

“Global Crossing’s services offer us an enhancement in the technology we use for our international operations and provide us great savings – we estimate as much as 40 percent – in our long distance calling costs over our old TDM service,” said Pedro Vázquez Núñez, Corporate IT Network Infrastructure, Continental Automotive Guadalajara.  “As a result, we have a more secure and reliable service that allows us to be more efficient.”

“We are thrilled that Continental Automotive Guadalajara chose Global Crossing as support for its growth,” said Federico Lammel, vice president of Sales for Global Crossing South Florida, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.  “The migration to new technology this important automotive company has undertaken will allow them to focus their internal resources on their core business, as well as satisfying their day-to-day requirements through the technology service provided.”

Global Crossing is a Tier 1 global Internet provider, and its DIA service offers connectivity to all domains worldwide, optimizing traffic routing.  VoIP service offers cross-protocol routing, managed dialing plans, audio conferencing services, Ready Access Conferencing®, and Global Crossing VOIP community network interconnection, among other benefits to clients.

“This contract with Continental Automotive Guadalajara is an example of how Global Crossing’s extensive services portfolio is able to satisfy the telecommunications needs of companies in any business sector,” said Steve Orlando, regional vice president, for Global Crossing East Region, North America.  “We are very excited to provide such an important automotive parts manufacturer the ability to connect its offices worldwide in an efficient manner over our highly secure network.”

Global Crossing is recognized as an experienced, leading provider of seamless, reliable, quality communication services around the world and its commitment to delivering on customer expectations is second to none.  Its Managed Network Services are available in more than 60 countries.  The service provides end-to-end data management services for Global Crossing transport services, such as Managed IP Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Managed DIA.
