High Capacity Fiber Optic Network Supports Wireless Hotspot for Entire Community
New York, NY, February 10, 2011 – Sidera Networks, a premier provider of fiber optic-based network solutions, announced today it has completed delivery of a custom network solution to Northalsted Business Alliance, enabling the organization to offer wireless broadband access to businesses and residents in Chicago’s Northalsted community.
Sidera was selected by Northalsted Business Alliance, a partnership of businesses that maintains a thriving shopping and entertainment district, to deliver Internet and data connectivity for their community wireless broadband project. Wireless broadband will serve as a “canopy” for the entire community to gain access to the Internet. Northalsted’s new wireless hotspot allows anyone with a Wi-Fi enabled device such as a laptop or Smartphone to receive a high-performance, portable link to the Internet.
