Layne Levine named to lead Windstream’s Enterprise business unit
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Windstream (NYSE:WIN, news, filings), a leading provider of advanced network communications and technology solutions, today announced that Layne Levine has been named president of the company’s Enterprise business unit. The appointment follows an extensive national search.

He has significant senior leadership experience at companies that grew revenue through sales productivity gains and reduced churn. He will drive our efforts to differentiate Windstream from our competitors by delivering a best-in-class customer experience and leveraging next-generation technologies like SD-WAN and unified communications.”
Levine has worked in the telecom industry for more than 25 years. He spent the last five years as the chief revenue officer at GTT, which provides cloud networking services to multinational customers. In that role, Levine led the company’s revenue growth initiatives worldwide, targeting global carriers and multinational enterprises and developing its emerging channel strategy. Previously he was the executive vice president for GTT’s Americas division, managing the sales efforts for North and South America.
Prior to joining GTT, Levine was senior vice president of sales at Alpheus Communications. Before that he was senior vice president of retail sales for Deltacom/EarthLink. Levine also has held leadership positions at Airband Communications, Level 3 Communications and Broadwing Communications.
