Promotion provides global compute platform on a wide range of configurations with up to five free months of service to remove migration cost barrier
ATLANTA – August 29, 2016 – Internap Corporation (NASDAQ:INAP, news, filings), a provider of high-performance Internet infrastructure services, today announced that it is offering its OpenStack-based AgileCLOUD public cloud service at up to 25% lower cost than the competition while focusing on alleviating typical migration cost concerns.
“Again, Internap is willing to step up and disrupt the industry in order to provide greater value and flexibility for customers,” said Mike Ruffolo, CEO of Internap. “While our competitors rely on proprietary tools to lock-in customers, we’re uniquely able to free customers from those constraints by providing public cloud services that are backed by a global footprint, guaranteed performance levels and a hybrid hosting environment that also includes our AgileSERVER bare-metal IaaS. The Internap solution enables users to quickly and easily best-fit their infrastructure to specific application requirements – all at a cost that is lowest in the industry.”
The AgileCLOUD offer is available to new customers on a monthly basis at Internap’s locations in Dallas, the New York Metro area and Santa Clara, as well as Amsterdam. A wide range of configurations allows customers to address diverse needs, from small to highly demanding workloads. The offer also includes 1TB of universal transfer per virtual CPU of its Performance IP™ connectivity service, which is backed by a 100 percent uptime SLA and ensures that customer traffic is delivered over the fastest Internet path, resulting in lowest latency and accelerated application performance.
Powered by OpenStack, Internap’s AgileCLOUD is a flexible, open source cloud management system that allows users to provision resources through multiple interfaces, including the Internap portal, the OpenStack Horizon portal or directly through the OpenStack API.
In a benchmark analysis completed by cloud analyst firm Cloud Spectator, results showed that Internap’s AgileCLOUD achieved superior price-performance over AWS, delivering scores that were up to 3.4x higher for web server tests and up to 2.7x higher in database tests.
In addition to this pricing promotion, Internap is offering one month of free service per contract year, up to five free months, for its AgileCLOUD public cloud and AgileSERVER bare-metal IaaS services to new customers that migrate from a competing provider, such as IBM SoftLayer.
