nTelos Wireless opens new retail location, adds 34 new cell sites to enhance existing coverage in area
Waynesboro, Va. (July 6, 2010) – NTELOS Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:NTLS, news, filings), a leading provider of wireless and wireline communications services (branded as NTELOS) in Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, today announced that wireless service was launched in Martinsburg on July 3. The launch will include the opening of a new nTelos-branded retail location and will generate up to five new jobs in the area.
In preparation for the launch, nTelos added 34 new cell sites in the Martinsburg and Hagerstown areas to enhance the existing coverage. The nTelos nationwide 3G service area covers 96% of the nation.
Conrad Hunter, president of nTelos Wireless said: “As a leading wireless provider in the markets we serve, one of our top priorities is providing an exceptional customer experience. This new store will give Martinsburg residents access to an outstanding suite of nTelos products and services at affordable prices. It’s the same nation, but at a better price.”
With nTelos, customers can enjoy the latest wireless handsets, voice and data plans backed by a reliable nationwide 3G network, and the best value in nationwide unlimited calling.
“Our nationwide plans are value packed – offering the same services and coverage as the big carriers – but at substantial savings,” said Hunter.
In addition to being a good fit for consumers looking for savings without sacrificing coverage or service, nTelos is also good to the markets they serve.
“When we enter a market, we want to be more than just another wireless provider, we want to be a part of the community,” Hunter explained. “We have a long history of getting involved in the communities we service, from joining local chambers to contributing to local charities and organizations. And we’re looking forward to continuing that involvement and commerce leadership in the Martinsburg community.”
Beginning July 3, Martinsburg residents can make the switch to nTelos by visiting the Martinsburg Mall location, the first outlet to open in the area. The kiosk will be staffed with five knowledgeable wireless professionals trained to assist business and consumer customers with their wireless needs.
“Martinsburg residents are going to like what we have to offer, especially when it comes to customer service and value we deliver,” said Mike Minnis, director of public relations. “Our plans reflect our continued commitment to provide customers with nationwide, no-worries wireless service. It’s the same nationwide coverage, but at a better price.”
The Martinsburg Mall kiosk will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6:00 p.m.
