OTTAWA and BOSTON, July 20, 2015
BTI Systems, a market-leading provider of cloud and metro networking software and systems to content and service providers around the world, today announced that Eve Griliches, Director of Solutions Marketing for Cloud Provider Solutions, will serve as panel moderator and speaker at DatacenterDynamics (DCD) Internet 2015. Taking place July 30-31 at the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco, DCD Internet is a knowledge-sharing and networking event covering the full data center and cloud infrastructure ecosystem.
With more than 20 years of network industry experience, Griliches will lead a discussion about the breadth of the Data Center Interconnect (DCI) landscape and the role of packet optical solutions in the rapidly evolving cloud network environment. She will be joined by several other industry experts from network infrastructure providers.
Slated for Thursday, July 30 at 2:50 p.m. PDT, the session – So, You Want Webscale? Cloud? Hmmm? Then You Need DCI – will focus on DCI’s role in business continuity and disaster recovery as well as in matching cloud providers’ demands for delivery of real-time, all-the-time content and services. Questions to be addressed will include:
- What does a state-of-the art DCI look like in today’s content delivery network (CDN) and software-defined networking (SDN) environment?
- Can DCI scale out globally?
- Why is DCI now a must-have requirement in the new virtual critical environment ecosystem?
BTI pioneered the metro DCI market in 2013 with the introduction of the BTI Intelligent Cloud Connect platform. Serving as the cornerstone of the company’s metro cloud and DCI solutions, the award-winning, software-defined Intelligent Cloud Connect platform delivers massive scale, improved network and operational efficiencies and rapid services innovation to networks that traditionally had been closed, static and hardware-centric. Customers worldwide have capitalized on the tremendous opportunities in cloud computing by leveraging BTI’s metro cloud and DCI solutions to deliver high performance, scalability and improved economics.
BTI’s participation at DCD Internet comes on the heels of being recognized as the third-largest provider of DCI solutions to Internet Content Providers (ICPs) and Carrier-Neutral Providers (CNPs) by telecom research provider Ovum. Last month, the company was also honored as Private Company of the Year by Light Reading.
