TOKYO, JAPAN – NTT Communications (NTT Com) and 19 partner telecommunications companies from other countries (see attachment), meeting at the Arcstar Carrier Forum in Tokyo from March 2 to 4, agreed to implement new process and practices that will further enhance the quality and customer satisfaction levels of NTT Com’s Arcstar™ global network services.
The annual forum, now in its 11th year, is an international conference where NTT Com and partner telecoms from around the world consider ways to continuously improve Arcstar-brand managed premium-network services for multinationals, including e-VLAN, MPLS IP-VPN, leased lines, ATM. Services are provided on NTT Com’s robust global transport platforms, which are managed by operation centers in Tokyo, New York and London and backed by 24/7 customer service with support from regional offices.
This year’s participants focused on quality and efficiency enhancements through measures such as quality assurance, infra-network designs and quality improvement. We also agreed to shorten implementation intervals, improve network quality, and further reduce the number of long-term outages.
Last year the forum took steps to improve value-chain processes and utilize best practices, such as infra-network design and construction processes to minimize network trouble from occurring, and operations-support systems for quick analysis and resolution of problems when they do occur.
Laurent Karoly, Regional Director of Management Information Systems for Asia-Pacific of SDV International Logistics, a leading logistics company headquartered in France, attended the forum as a special guest to speak about the crucial importance of global-network quality. “One of the SDV’s strengths is the specialists in transportation and logistics business, and the efficient IT systems that support those specialists. Quality of global network is a key element for us because our global business relies on it.” said Laurent “NTT Communications has been a reliable partner that provides high quality network over the years. Arcstar Carrier Forum shows their commitment to quality and this makes NTT Com our valuable partner.”
