An affiliate of data center owner & developer Gold Data Centers has recently acquired a 24,000 square foot telecom & data center facility in Las Vegas, NV.
This location is in an established data center neighborhood concentration in Las Vegas with access to 20+ telecom fiber carriers and dual power feeds from 2 different sub-stations. The connectivity is unsurpassed in the Las Vegas area.
The facility is occupied on a long term lease as their primary technical location in Las Vegas by a publicly traded $23 billion dollar company. Gold Data Centers purchased the facility due to the stability and strength of the tenant, the robust and critical nature of the facility as well as all of the recent data center and internet activity in Las Vegas.
“Recently, there has been a lot of activity in the Las Vegas market with ViaWest’s Lone Mountain Data Center, Cobalt’s data center and the ever expanding Switch SuperNap facilities. Just in the last month, Switch has announced deals with Shutterfly & CenturyLink. We feel that all the energy & activity in this market enhances the value of these technical facilities and is a great fit for Gold Data Centers”, said Bill Minkle of Gold Data Centers. “We will continue to look for opportunities in this space all over North America and possibly overseas”.
Gold Data Centers sold a 30,000 square foot data center it was developing in Sacramento to a National Service Provider in June.
