Frontier Communications Corporation (NYSE:FTR, news, filings), the leading provider of communications services to rural America, recently announced the appointment of Dave Davidson as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Ohio. In this role, Davidson is overseeing the aggressive deployment of broadband communications and is responsible for every aspect of the customer experience. With state headquarters in Marion, Ohio is one of Frontier’s largest operations, spanning 77 counties and with more than 1,000 employees.
Before joining Frontier in February 2010, Davidson worked at Connect Ohio, a public-private partnership with the state of Ohio that aims to “bridge the digital divide” by driving broadband adoption among consumers and businesses in the state. Prior to this, he held senior level positions with telecommunications companies including McCaw Communications, AT&T Wireless and several start-up companies in the wireless and Internet space. While at AT&T Wireless, Davidson served as Vice President and General Manager of the company’s Ohio and Western New York service areas.
