VANCOUVER, Wash. and NEWBERG, Ore., – July 25, 2014 – Integra™, a provider of fiber-based, carrier-grade networking, communications and technology solutions, was a presenting sponsor of the 12th annual “HOPE for Children Charity Golf Classic” to benefit the Providence Newberg Health Foundation’s HOPE for Children Fund. The tournament took place July 21 at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club in Aloha, Ore. and raised more than $145,000 for children with special medical needs in Yamhill and southwestern Washington counties.
“Integra values the importance of supporting our local communities. We aim to improve the lives of our employees and our customers through the products we provide and the charitable activities we participate in,” said Joseph Harding, chief marketing officer at Integra. “Integra has been a proud sponsor of the HOPE for Children Charity Golf Classic for several years and we’re grateful for the positive impact it continues to make for local children with disabilities.”
Last year, Providence Newberg Medical Center provided more than $5.1 million in community benefits, including $4.6 million in free or reduced-cost care for the community’s most in-need patients. Each year, hundreds of children are served through gifts made to the HOPE for Children Fund. Thanks to the generosity of past and present participants, more than $1.3 million has been raised to-date.
“Through their ongoing commitment to the HOPE for Children Charitable Golf Classic, Integra and its employees have helped advance our mission to provide care for our most vulnerable patients,” said Diana Fisher, executive director of Providence Newberg Health Foundation. “We’re very pleased to continue this valuable partnership, because it yields life-changing benefits for Yamhill County children with special needs.”
