West Plains, MO – Brock Caldwell, 2010 graduate of West Plains High School and son of CenturyLink plant technician, Rocky Caldwell and wife Cheryl Caldwell, is a recipient of a $1,000 CenturyLink scholarship.
CenturyLink awarded a total of 42 scholarships nationwide. The program confers scholarships to dependents of employees, who have at least a 3.0 grade point average and are attending an accredited junior college, college or university. The 2010 scholarships are $1,000 per year, for up to four years. The students can retain the scholarship each year by maintaining a 3.0 grade point average.
“We are happy to award these educational scholarships to the deserving sons and daughters of CenturyLink associates,” said Bill Fallin, Vice President and General Manager for CenturyLink of South Missouri and Kansas. “Each of the winners was selected for exemplary academic accomplishments, along with outstanding involvement in community programs and activities.”
Brock will be attending the Missouri State West Plains campus in the fall in order to receive an associate of arts degree in general studies. Following that, he plans to attend Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, to complete a bachelor’s degree in youth ministry.
