Engagements will allow service providers to enhance and monetize the broadband experience faster
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – March 25, 2014 – Calix, Inc. (NYSE:CALX, news, filings) today announced the addition of Calix Consulting services to its Unified Access portfolio. Two new services – Analytics and Catalyst – will help communications service providers leverage Calix Compass software applications to drive business transformation inside their organizations. Each Calix Consulting service, customized for specific business objectives within a given service provider, focuses on fully understanding their subscribers’ experience and delivers actionable plans to increase subscriber satisfaction. Armed with these insights, service providers can get to revenue faster with new services based on subscriber behavior, increase the average revenue per user (ARPU), reduce churn, and more effectively plan future network investments based on subscriber usage.
“The Analytics service from Calix gave us the ability to pull together our network and customer usage information in a way we haven’t been able to do in the past,” said Derrick Mottern, director of network operations at Nemont in Scobey, Montana. “By integrating these different sets of data with our back office systems, we were able to create a list of potential customers in need of more bandwidth. Moving forward, we will be able to better target customers with packages that fit their needs and track our success and return on investment (ROI) more efficiently.”
The Analytics service allows service providers to get the most out of their Compass applications by analyzing data from each application to deliver custom action plans to achieve business objectives pre-defined for each engagement. For instance, by examining usage patterns from Compass Flow Analyze and correlating the data with Consumer Connect, the Analytics service helps service providers better understand usage patterns in their network and how their subscribers are accessing the Internet through a variety of broadband-enabled devices. With this detailed understanding, service providers can deliver and monetize a more personalized broadband experience to each subscriber. Companies can better target marketing campaigns and service tiers to subscribers’ actual needs and more efficiently plan capital investments based on how the network is actually being utilized.
The Catalyst service enables Calix customers rolling out Compass applications for the first time to get to revenue faster with new services, thus accelerating their ROI. By offering both Advanced and Custom Catalyst services, Calix can tailor each engagement to the needs of a particular service provider and their network, helping ensure that all Compass applications are correctly configured and optimized for immediate business impact. From project management and engineering support to complete turnkey installation, Catalyst services bring speed and efficiency to the deployment of all Compass applications, allowing service providers to increase service velocity and accelerate market share growth.
“More than ever, consumers and businesses are looking for a customized broadband experience that allows them to gain a competitive edge in their business and have richer, more fulfilling engagements in their personal lives,” said John Colvin, Calix senior vice president of North American sales. “These new Calix Consulting services allow our customers to unleash the true power of all Compass applications to exceed the expectations of their subscribers and provide the most compelling broadband experience available in their serving area. While these services provide deep insight into the subscriber broadband experience, they also allow our customers to become more CAPEX efficient and achieve a quicker ROI, helping them to optimize their spending while simultaneously bringing in new revenues.”
