STAMFORD, Conn., Jun 30, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Frontier Communications Corporation (NYSE:FTR, news, filings) reiterated its commitment to serve business and residential customers with only US-based employees.
“Frontier is on track to complete our acquisition of Verizon wireline operations and other assets in 14 states tomorrow. In addition to voice customer service, our broadband Internet help desk jobs will continue to be staffed by a 100 percent U.S.-based workforce. This will include the creation of 500 new US-based jobs replacing work that Verizon sent overseas,” said Maggie Wilderotter, Frontier’s Chairman and CEO.
Frontier offers a suite of services, aptly named “Peace of Mind,” designed to improve the customer experience. These include 24/7 Internet Help support, computer security software plus Hard Drive Back-up and Storage. Frontier also provides 2-hour appointment windows for all installations and repairs; in home High-Speed Internet installations, business and consumer Email products and wireless data connectivity. Frontier business customers benefit from specialized bundles for small businesses and home offices, and large and medium sized businesses have a full array of voice, broadband, equipment and video access solutions.

We are excited to introduce Frontier products and services to the new Verizon markets; we will also honor existing market pricing and products when we close the transaction,” Wilderotter added.
In the second half of 2010, Frontier will begin an aggressive program to extend broadband as fast as possible to unserved and underserved areas in the 27 states where Frontier does business.
