HERNDON, VA – October 1, 2013 – XO Communications today announced that Fedcap Rehabilitation Services has implemented XO Hosted PBX for its flexibility, scalability and ease-of-use, expanding the company’s use of XO Communications solutions including Hosted PBX, MPLS IP-VPN networking for a fully converged voice and data Hosted VoIP solution.
“The XO team helped Fedcap design a strategy to implement a complete communications solution. We previously leveraged only XO MPLS networking for internal connectivity between all of our sites and have expanded the solution by adding Internet bandwidth layered with an XO Hosted PBX solution,” said Richard Matist, director of information technology for Fedcap Rehabilitation. “We did a cost analysis, a total cost of ownership over three years, five years, and ultimately, the XO hosted model worked best for us. The XO Hosted PBX solution takes all the internal management and maintenance out of the equation for us. Now, we simply focus on the administration of the system; we no longer need to maintain or support a premise-based communication solution,” he added.
Founded in 1935, Fedcap Rehabilitation is a non-profit organization that helps create opportunities for people with barriers to economic independence. Over the last few years, Fedcap has experienced tremendous growth that’s presented a number of challenges for the company’s dispersed workforce. Fedcap turned to XO Communications to implement a flexible communications solution that would unify the company’s geographically distributed employees and scale easily as the company grew.
“It’s been a fantastic experience working with the XO Communications team. We came up with a very controlled implementation strategy. We handled one site at a time, and everything went very smoothly,” added Matist.
“At XO Communications, it’s all about delivering an exceptional customer experience powered by our people and technology; it’s core to what we do every day. XO provides the solutions our customers want with the support they need, from one partner, connecting their business and helping them move forward by building for the future,” said Jake Heinz, vice president of marketing at XO Communications.
Delivered over the award-winning XO network, the cloud-based IP-PBX solution provides a lower total cost of ownership by providing a hosted communications platform with a predictable monthly cost. Companies can forego the expensive premise-based costs of traditional IP-PBX offerings such as investments in capital, licensing, support staff, overbuilding of infrastructure to accommodate usage spikes, multiple disaster recovery sites, maintenance and upgrades. XO Hosted PBX comes complete with voice and network services, IP desktop phones, HD voice, and direct access enterprise voice calling features including click-to-call, forward, transfer, single number reach, and anywhere access to communications.
