SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 24 2013 – On Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 8 a.m. PDT, Cisco will host a live webcast to announce key Internet-changing developments for service providers. The Internet networking industry is at a critical inflection point. For 30 years, networking has concentrated on driving speeds up and costs down, but it’s no longer enough to only manage bandwidth growth. With Internet traffic expected to rapidly proliferate in the coming years amid a new wave of connections, Cisco will unveil several breakthrough Internet capabilities engineered to enable the seamless interconnection of people, data, processes and things known as the Internet of Everything (IoE)
During this live webcast, Cisco senior executives will introduce Internet networking architecture and products powered by the recently announced nPower™ X1 network processor. They will also discuss standards for the Evolved Programmable Network and new technologies to unlock the potential for more advanced interactions, innovations across industries and more personalized consumer experiences.
