Building on its continuing success in North America, TeliaSonera International Carrier (TSIC) announced expansion of its network with a new Point-of-Presence (PoP) within the Cologix 151 Front Street data center in Toronto. The extension of TSIC’s fiber network into Canada will enable more customers in the region to execute their business-critical activities via one of the top-three global IP backbones.
Ivo Pascucci, Regional Director – Americas, TSIC, says, “With 200+ PoPs globally, this is our 36th in North America with the network now covering 24 markets. We’re excited to open this, our first Canadian PoP.” The addition of Toronto, based on fiber links to New York and Chicago, means Canadian customers now have the option to connect locally for high quality global reach.”
