London, Monday 26 November 2012– Interoute Communications Ltd, owner and operator of Europe’s largest cloud services platform, has acquired Comendo Network, a subsidiary of Danish IT Company, Comendo A/S. The acquisition strengthens Interoute’s position in the Nordic market for international communications and network services and doubles both Interoute’s revenues and its employees in Denmark.
The company’s customers, employees and its expertise will be taken on by Interoute and Comendo Network’s CEO, Jesper Aagaard, will become the new Country Manager for Interoute Denmark. Comendo A/S has been Interoute’s partner in Denmark for many years and the two companies have often supported customers as a team in the past. Interoute will be taking on all of Comendo Network’s prominent customers, including DSB, Saxo Bank and DONG Energy. All employees will join Interoute Denmark and continue working with customers as usual.
Gareth Williams, CEO Interoute commented, “Following our purchase of VCG last year, the acquisition of Comendo Network greatly enhances our position in Denmark and the Nordic region. This gives us critical mass in the Danish market and provides an excellent platform for further development of our cloud based network solutions and video communications.”
Jesper Aagaard, who will be moving with Comendo Network’s other employees to Interoute in his new capacity as Interoute’s Country Manager for Denmark, commented: “It is a great day for Comendo Network and all our employees and customers.
