PLEASANTON, Calif. – August 16, 2012 – MegaPath Corporation, one of the leading providers of managed data, voice, security, and hosted IT services in North America, today announced that it served as the title sponsor of the seventh annual Climbing for Kids charity event, benefitting Children’s Hospital Colorado and The Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect. As the company continues to expand its presence within the Denver market, MegaPath is investing in the community to support local initiatives and provide enterprise-class services for its businesses.
MegaPath’s team participated in the local Climbing for Kids charity event in honor of Jason T. Pearl, brother of MegaPath’s Senior Vice President of Sales, Jeffrey Pearl. Each year, the event hosts climbers who ascend one of Colorado’s fourteeners to raise money for both children’s charities. This year’s event took place on Mount Bierstadt outside of Denver and included approximately 175 climbers and collected over $45,000 through sponsorships, participant registration and donations thus far.
“After starting simply as a team building event for our employees seven years ago, MegaPath is proud to serve as the title sponsor of the Climbing for Kids event and support the missions of the Kempe Center and the Children’s Hospital Colorado,” said Pearl.
As part of its investment in the Denver market, MegaPath has two local offices with approximately 125 employees, and recently hired a field sales team to support its Ethernet over Copper (EoC) network expansion. In addition to its comprehensive suite of voice, data, security and hosted IT services, MegaPath offers the nation’s largest Ethernet over Copper (EoC) network, which is available in 45 markets nationwide including Albuquerque, Austin, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Phoenix, and San Francisco.
