Hong Kong, 25 July 2012) – Comba Telecom Systems Holdings Limited (“Comba Telecom” or “the Group”, Hong Kong stock code: 2342), a global leading wireless solutions provider, announced it is supplying equipment to a wireless enhancement project for a major mobile operator at Chile’s Metro de Santiago (“Santiago Metro”), the most extensive metro system in South America.
The project calls for the development of a wireless system to enable 3G coverage for passengers travelling within the metro stations and tunnels. Working with a local systems integrator, Comba Telecom is supplying passive products, antennas, and other accessories to the project. The systems integrator is implementing a wireless solution using Comba Telecom’s equipment along with Node Bs to enable a seamless 3G data and voice network covering the Santiago Metro system which includes 5 lines, 108 stations and over 100 kilometers of tunnels and track.
