Colocation Firm Hurricane Electric Establishes PoP in Telehouse Paris Data Center

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet backbone and colocation provider Hurricane Electric (www.he.net) announced on Friday that it has established a point-of-presence with Telehouse Paris 2 Voltaire.

This announcement comes a week after Hurricane Electric established a point-of-presence within the VegasNAP data center.

Hurricane Electric says this expansion will give customers in the area greater bandwidth, reduced latency and improved quality of service. It will also enable improved fault tolerance, load balancing and congestion management infrastructure capabilities for the delivery of IPv6.

“With this new PoP, Hurricane Electric is strengthening its commitment to the Paris market and increasing access to its vast IPv6 network,” Mike Weber, president of Hurricane Electric said in a statement. “Hurricane Electric is well positioned to meet the needs of the increasing demand for IPv6 in Europe.”

On Monday, UK IT infrastructure services provider Telehouse (www.telehouse.net) opened its new data center Istanbul, Turkey with local telecommunications firm Teknotel Telekomünikasyon.
