GENBAND solution enables leading Swiss wholesale provider to offer cable operator customers cost-effective delivery of IP voice and multimedia services
Cologne, Germany, May 3, 2011 – GENBAND, a leading developer of IP infrastructure and application solutions, today announced that ImproWare AG, the leading Internet and voice carrier in Northern Switzerland, has selected GENBAND’s Safari C3 switching platform for advanced multimedia communications services. The Safari C3 enables ImproWare’s cable operator customers to offer scalable, simplified and cost-effective delivery of multimedia services. Designed to increase carrier-class network security and privacy, GENBAND’s SAFARI C3 is the only totally integrated multimedia communications switch that incorporates all voice-switching infrastructure components and provides SIP and NCS-based features for residential subscribers. The Safari C3 also supports the deployment of additional services such as SIP trunking, IP Centrex, and SIP interconnect.

GENBAND will showcase the Safari C3 at this year’s ANGA Cable Show in Cologne, Germany, May 3-5.
