Customers who didn’t initially subscribe now have a second chance to sign up
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (BUSINESS WIRE), August 01, 2011 – From Aug. 1 through Aug. 31, Sprint (NYSE:S, news, filings) is giving customers who originally opted out of its Total Equipment Protection (TEP) program at the time of purchase another chance to enroll. Sprint’s Total Equipment Protection provides coverage against loss, theft and damage.
The cost for TEP is $8 per month, per line of service. To be eligible in the TEP open enrollment, the customer’s device must be functioning and in the customer’s possession. Customers can enroll at www.tepenroll.com, at any Sprint location, or by calling 877-663-6250.

- Next business day replacements for loss, stolen or damaged claims
- Ability to file claims online with email notification of claim and shipment status

- The Protection App which allows eligible devices the ability to remotely locate lost devices, erase, backup, manage and restore contacts.
There is a $50 or $100 non-refundable deductible per approved claim for lost, stolen, or physical or liquid damage. The deductible is based on phone model.
TEP combined the Equipment Service and Repair Program and the Equipment Replacement Program underwritten by the Continental Casualty Company.
