Chief Technology Officer to speak on IPv4 to IPv6 transition
WHAT:
NTT America’s Chief Technology Officer Doug Junkins will deliver a standalone “CIO Think Tank” presentation at the CTO Telecom Summit titled, “Internet in Transition: IPv6.” In his presentation, Junkins will provide expert perspectives on IPv6 transitions, infrastructure solutions and converged network solutions.
The CTO Telecom Summit is an annual four-day event where CTOs of telecom companies collaborate and discuss industry trends and hot topics. Discussion topics will focus on how companies are adapting their products and services to respond to changes and trends in the industry. Key topics include the rise in mobile demand, opportunities with the cloud and the status of IPv6 adoption.
WHO:
In his role as CTO of NTT America, Junkins is responsible for the company’s technology procurement strategy and vendor selection, industry relations and standardization efforts and overall product portfolio coordination across both the Global IP Network and Enterprise Solutions business units. Until April of 2011, Junkins jointly served as CTO of NTT America and vice president of IP development for the Global IP Network Business Unit. His responsibilities included network architecture, tool development and peering relations for the NTT Communications Global IP Network.
