AT&T Contributes $100,000 to Support Communities Affected by Hurricane Isaias

Donation builds on AT&T’s ongoing efforts to restore connectivity, support first responders, and help Alabama and Florida communities recover

AT&T is contributing $100,000 to help communities recover and rebuild following Hurricane Isaias. This support will be directed to the following organizations:

  • The United Way of Southwest Alabama ($50,000)
  • Volunteer Florida ($50,000)

These donations are part of AT&T’s broader response to Hurricane Isaias, which includes restoring network connectivity, deploying emergency communications equipment, supporting first responders, and providing relief to customers in impacted communities.

“We know how devastating hurricanes can be for Alabama families and communities, and we also know the resilience it takes to recover. This contribution reflects AT&T’s commitment to standing alongside our neighbors and supporting the organizations helping Alabamians rebuild and move forward,” said Cleo Washington, President of AT&T Alabama.

“AT&T’s $50,000 commitment is an important investment in the recovery of Alabama communities affected by Hurricane Isaias,” said Justine Bixler, President and CEO of United Way of Southwest Alabama. “Recovery takes collaboration, and this contribution will help local United Ways connect resources with organizations that understand the needs of their communities. We appreciate AT&T stepping forward to help our neighbors during this critical time.”

“When a hurricane strikes, Floridians come together to help their neighbors, and AT&T is proud to be part of that effort,” said Joe York, President of AT&T Florida. “Our contribution to Volunteer Florida will help communities recover and rebuild, while our teams continue working to keep customers and first responders connected. We’re committed to standing with Florida communities long after the storm has passed.”

“Volunteer Florida is incredibly grateful to AT&T for its generous support of the Florida Disaster Fund and continued commitment to Floridians in times of need,” said Volunteer Florida CEO Josie Tamayo. “The road to recovery following a disaster requires strong partnerships, and contributions like this help provide resources to communities impacted by Hurricane Isaias. We are thankful to AT&T for once again stepping up to support Florida’s response and recovery efforts.”

AT&T’s wireless network is operating normally across Alabama and Florida. A small number of areas still need extensive repairs, and our teams are focused on restoring service there as quickly and safely as possible.

Since Hurricane Isaias made landfall, AT&T has been working to help affected communities recover and stay connected. Our support includes:

  • Customer relief: AT&T is waiving overage charges and providing unlimited talk, text and data for eligible postpaid and prepaid wireless customers in impacted ZIP codes from October 9, 2026 through November 7, 2026.
  • Community assistance: AT&T has deployed Community Response Trucks to northwest Florida, providing residents with access to device charging, Wi-Fi, water and personal hygiene supplies. Additional charging stations and complimentary Wi-Fi are available in Santa Rosa County through AT&T’s collaboration with the Information Technology Disaster Resource Center (ITDRC).
    • With the ITDRC, we deployed our Mobile Connectivity Center (MCC) to support communities affected by the storm. This 48-foot mobile resource hub features 16 laptop workstations with Wi-Fi and internet access, nine digital display screens, and device-charging stations.
  • Network restoration: Our Network Disaster Recovery (NDR) team established staging yards across Alabama and Florida, with a crew of support team members ready to respond to the hardest-hit areas. We deployed several recovery assets to impacted areas, including mobile cell sites, generators and emergency communications equipment.

AT&T’s response also includes coordination with local, state and federal emergency management officials, along with ongoing support for public safety agencies through FirstNet®, Built with AT&T– the only network built with and for America’s first responders. As public safety’s partner, we prioritize first responders’ emergency communications needs to support their critical operations across the impacted areas.

  • Led by former first responders, the FirstNet Response Operations Group™ (ROG) was on the ground guiding the deployment of dedicated FirstNet network assets.
  • ROG has responded to 20 requests from public safety in Alabama and Florida.

For generations, millions of customers have trusted AT&T to keep them connected. That responsibility is especially important when disaster strikes, and we remain committed to supporting our customers and communities throughout their recovery.
