Burlington Telecom’s “Gig Up & Give Back” Campaign Raises $10,000 for Local Food Shelves Across Chittenden County

BURLINGTON, VT — January 27, 2026 — Burlington Telecom (BT) announced today the successful completion of its “Gig Up & Give Back” holiday campaign, a community-focused initiative that raised funds to support local food shelves while welcoming new customers during the 2025 holiday season.

Running throughout the 2025 holiday season, the campaign linked new customer sign-ups with meaningful support for local food shelves. Burlington Telecom pledged guaranteed funding for each participating organization, with additional contributions generated as the community engaged, ensuring broad and equitable impact across all locations.

In total, the campaign generated $10,000 in donations, benefiting food shelves across Burlington Telecom’s service area. Participating organizations included:

North End Food Pantry (Burlington)

Shelburne Food Shelf (Shelburne)

Colchester Food Shelf (Colchester)

Winooski Food Shelf (Winooski)

South Burlington Food Shelf (South Burlington)

Aunt Dot’s Place (Essex Junction)

“These organizations are on the front lines of addressing food insecurity in our community,” said Jennifer Tyler, Marketing Manager of Burlington Telecom. “With Gig Up & Give Back, we wanted to create a campaign that directly supports our neighbors while reinforcing Burlington Telecom’s commitment to giving back to the communities we serve. Our customers made a meaningful impact simply by choosing local, community-owned broadband.”

In addition to the financial contributions, Burlington Telecom employees supported the effort through an internal food drive, further strengthening the campaign’s community impact. Several participating food shelves also helped spread the word through their own newsletters and social media channels.

“The North End Food Pantry is grateful to Burlington Telecom for this generous donation,” said Greta Zarro, North End Food Pantry Board Member. This support makes a direct and immediate impact on food security in Burlington, ensuring that families know they can count on us for both nutritious food and essential personal care items.”

The “Gig Up & Give Back” campaign reflects Burlington Telecom’s ongoing mission to invest in local initiatives that strengthen the communities it serves.
