CHOICE AT LAST – CITYFIBRE BRINGS 30+ ISPs TO HULL

CityFibre launches across Hull, giving more than 80,000 homes and businesses their pick of market-leading broadband providers for the very first time

  • With speeds of up to 5Gbps, CityFibre’s rollout offers something for everyone, from dedicated gamers to working families and local businesses
  • Launch follows acquisition of Connexin’s full fibre infrastructure and rapid integration into CityFibre’s nationwide 10Gb XGS-PON network

19 November, 2025, London: CityFibre, the UK’s largest independent full fibre platform, today confirmed the transformation of Hull’s digital landscape, as it launches and brings over 30 market-leading broadband providers to the local area for the very first time.

From today, over 80,000 premises across Hull and East Riding can make the most of full fibre broadband on CityFibre’s 10Gb XGS-PON network and choose from household names including Sky, Vodafone and TalkTalk alongside award-winning providers such as 4th Utility, toob and Cuckoo Broadband.

With speeds of up to 5Gbps1, for both uploading and downloading available from CityFibre’s ISP partners2, the rollout brings unbeatable choice to the area, with packages to suit everyone – from dedicated gamers and content creators to working families and local businesses.

Simon Holden, CEO of CityFibre said: “Hull has been held back by a lack of choice for far too long but CityFibre’s arrival brings competition and state-of-the-art infrastructure, helping to supercharge growth and giving residents and businesses their pick of the very best broadband.

“As we continue to grow CityFibre’s future-proofed network, at over 4.5 million premises today and with plans to reach more than 8 million, our wholesale business model means we bring the best products, pricing and services to our partners, and game-changing connectivity and choice to homes, businesses and communities across the UK.”

The introduction of CityFibre’s wholesale network to Hull follows the company’s acquisition of Connexin’s full fibre infrastructure in March. Over the past seven months, CityFibre has rapidly integrated Connexin’s infrastructure into its 10Gb XGS-PON full fibre network to bring market-leading wholesale products, pricing and services to the area.

Following the acquisition, Connexin has expanded nationwide across CityFibre’s network and is building on its success in Internet of Things (IoT), including rolling out one of the UK’s largest LoRaWAN® (long range wide-area) networks and winning contracts for over 2 million smart water meters.

Hull residents interested in accessing a greater choice of broadband providers and upgrading their home’s digital connection to full fibre can find out more at www.cityfibre.com.
