Connectbase Welcomes Shivani York as COO to Power the Next Era of Global Connected Commerce

BOSTON, Aug. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Connectbase, the Operating System for Transacting in the Connected World, today announced the appointment of Shivani York as Chief Operating Officer, effective August 4, 2025.

With over two decades of leadership driving business transformations, operational scale, and product innovation, York brings both the vision and executional expertise to help Connectbase accelerate its mission: building the federated ecosystem fabric where buyers, suppliers, and partners transact with the industry’s most trusted market data and vertical SaaS from lead to cash.

York has held senior roles at global innovators including Ookla, The NPD Group, Ziff Davis, Ellevation Education, TIME, and The New York Times. As Ookla’s COO, she led the company through multiple acquisitions, rapid growth, and global expansion over five years. Throughout her career, she has also advised growth-stage and founder-led companies, driving performance breakthroughs, profitability, and scale at pace.

“Connectivity is the foundation of our digital economy, and a growing AI economy —and we are building nothing less than the operating system that makes this ecosystem transact and scale,” said Ben Edmond, Founder and CEO of Connectbase. “Our vision is to digitize how the world transacts for digital infrastructure, connectivity, and connected services with real-time intelligence, AI-powered data, and federated workflows that unify buyers, suppliers, and channel partners. Shivani’s track record of scaling global businesses and creating measurable outcomes for customers makes her the perfect leader to help power the next phase of growth.”

As COO, York will lead Connectbase’s global operations and customer experience, driving strategic planning, product marketing, customer operations, revenue growth, and cross-functional alignment. She will oversee execution of the entire customer journey—from onboarding to expansion—ensuring every interaction is seamless, high-value, and rooted in measurable outcomes.

York’s leadership comes as Connectbase accelerates its global expansion:

  • 400+ providers across 150+ countries are powered by The Connected World platform.
  • 2.2 billion locations are mapped and activated with real-time serviceability and pricing.
  • The platform is rapidly scaling its connected commerce capabilities, unifying network service providers, data centers, cloud platforms, managed service providers and the channel partners and enterprises driving demand into a single federated digital fabric.

As demand for connectivity and digital infrastructure surges with the growth of AI, cloud, and digital services, Connectbase is uniquely positioned to transform how the industry buys, sells, and partners across connected ecosystems — creating a once-in-a-generation opportunity for investors, partners, and talent.

“Connectbase is not just scaling operations—it’s defining how connected commerce drives value to the infrastructure owners, network providers, and channel community that is over 2 million sellers strong,” said Shivani York. “I am thrilled to join this mission and help drive the next wave of growth for our customers, partners, and ecosystem worldwide.”
