Industry Veteran Joins Leadership Team to Accelerate Growth and Strategic Market Expansion
Lombard, IL. – April 22, 2025 – Crosstown Fiber LLC (Crosstown Fiber), a fiber optic infrastructure developer specializing in the design and construction of high-capacity networks and conduit systems, today announced the appointment of Eric Nickla as its Chief Revenue Officer. Nickla brings more than 33 years of experience in telecommunications, data centers, and fiber networks, and is recognized for his leadership in driving growth, scaling sales organizations, and delivering customer value.
As Chief Revenue Officer, Nickla will lead Crosstown Fiber’s revenue strategy, overseeing enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, and go-to-market execution. His deep industry expertise across fiber, interconnection, and edge infrastructure will support Crosstown Fiber’s mission to deliver purpose-built connectivity for AI, ML, IoT, and other performance-intensive applications.

Prior to joining Crosstown Fiber, Nickla served as Vice President of National Sales at Crown Castle’s Fiber Division, where he was responsible for driving revenue growth across the Carrier, Hyperscale, and Data Center segments. He also oversaw the development of the company’s Edge Strategy, Managed Services offerings, and National Channel program. Earlier in his career, Nickla held positions at MCI and MFS Communications—now part of Verizon Business—and advanced into senior leadership roles at Level 3 Communications, AboveNet, and Equinix, where he led the West Region Financial Vertical within the data center sector.
