San Diego, CA – This year’s Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exhibition (OFC) marks five decades of groundbreaking research, technology advancements and industry collaboration. OFC 2025, the premier event in optical networking and communications, will be held 30 March – 03 April, 2025 at the San Diego Convention Center.
OFC 2025 will bring together industry leaders, academia and government representatives from 74 countries and will feature a comprehensive technical program and a sold-out exhibition showcasing the latest innovations driving the optical communication field forward.

The Call for Papers for OFC is now open through 22 October 2024, inviting submissions from industry leaders, innovators and academics to contribute to this year’s discussion and debate on the advancement of the optical communications field. Submissions are welcomed in a wide range of categories, from cutting-edge research to practical case studies. Topics include optical networks, photonic devices, data centers, and more, addressing the key challenges and innovations shaping the future of communication networks.
Accepted papers will be presented during the technical conference, which offers a unique platform to share the latest developments and collaborate with leading experts from across the globe. They are also published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library and Optica Publishing Group’s platform and indexed in Ei Compendex, Scopus and Google Scholar, maximizing the reach and influence of the research.
