Promoted from Chief Commercial Officer, Wort now leads TXO, steering the global telecoms industry towards a more sustainable future
London, 4th September, 2024: TXO, the global leader in sustainable telecom network solutions, today announced the appointment of Simon Wort as Chief Executive Officer.
Initially joining TXO from ITS Technology Group, Simon is a proven leader with an extensive background in global, privately owned, and private equity-backed organisations. Simon’s experience as both a CEO and CCO in the technology and telecom sectors was a key factor in his initial recruitment. In his new role, Wort brings international commercial leadership, a deep understanding of market dynamics and proven M+A experience as TXO continues its growth journey to become the premier end-to-end circular economy solutions and services company for the telecoms industry.
Kevin Taylor MBE, Chairman of the Board, commented: “We are thrilled to appoint Simon to the role of CEO. His dedication and strategic insight have already made a significant impact on our company. As we move forward, Simon’s leadership will be instrumental in driving our ambitious growth plans and reinforcing our commitment to sustainability. This new chapter for TXO is not just about continuing our success but about expanding our impact globally.”
TXO has been making significant strides in recent years as it evolves into the global provider of end-to-end circular telecom network solutions and services. These include multiple acquisitions as well as senior leadership appointments. This latest move sees TXO ready to capitalise on its new expertise, growth and market opportunity as it looks to become a trusted partner for operators and OEMs all over the world.
Reflecting on his appointment, Simon Wort said: “I am incredibly excited to take on this new role. Over the past six months, I have seen firsthand the strength of our organisation and the incredible potential we have in the market. I look forward to continuing to work closely with the team to continue our journey towards making a significant difference for our customers, the environment, and all our stakeholders.”
Darren Pearce, the former CEO, will join the board of directors as a non-executive director, continuing to support and guide the company’s strategic initiatives. TXO remains committed to delivering exceptional value through sustainable practices, and under Simon’s leadership, the company is poised to achieve new heights. As the world’s local partner for sustainable telecom networks, TXO will continue to innovate, exceed expectations, and drive the global agenda on sustainability.
