NEW YORK, NY July 12, 2011 – KDDI America, Inc. ( Headquartered in New York, NY, CEO: Yasushi Kubota) announced today that it would release Android™-powered HTC Detail™ smartphone this fall from its brand “KDDI Mobile”.
HTC Detail™ will be the fourth Android™ model and the first of its kind to be equipped with a hard QWERTY keyboard. KDDI America, which is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), targets its services to the Japanese and Korean markets in the United States.
HTC Detail™ captures the eye with its navy sleek design while containing the high-performance Qualcomm® chip Snapdragon™, it assures optimal experience for the most demanding and volume oriented users. HTC Detail™ comes with HTC Sense™, an enhanced UI built on top of Android™ OS, provided by HTC. HTC Detail™ is a sister model of HTC EVO Shift™, available exclusively from Sprint™.
HTC Detail™ also supports 3G hotspot. Users will be able to use mobile hotspot by subscribing to an optional service, which will be available for users in a few months.
