Brand embraces its one-line wireless with empowering Singles Day anthem

DENVER – Today, Visible Wireless, the Verizon-owned, all-digital wireless carrier, launched its 3rd annual Singles Awareness Day campaign to help society sing a new tune about celebrating singles. As the only wireless carrier to offer “family plan savings” to single-line users, Visible is partnering with superstar Maren Morris to embrace singlehood through a reimagination of Billy Idol’s iconic hit, “Dancing with Myself.”

With simple and transparent plans that don’t tie you down or lock you into commitments, Visible is celebrating the freedom and empowerment it delivers for single-line, single-relationship-status consumers who want more freedom in their lives and more transparency in their wireless plans.

“I am so excited to partner with a company like Visible who prioritizes self-empowerment and independence for their mobile plans,” said Maren Morris. “Recording and filming the music video for my cover of Billy Idol’s “Dancing with Myself” was such a dream come true and I hope fans can dance along while also knowing it’s okay to be in your feelings.”

Conceived and executed by creative collective Madwell, singer-songwriter Maren Morris “has the chance to ask the world to dance” with a remastered performance of “Dancing with Myself” shot at Grimey’s record store in Nashville. The video is a vibrant homage to the original, with infectious energy that sweeps up fans in the music and provides a powerful image of Morris as she and Visible empower singles – and anyone – to live their best lives with independence.

The “Dancing with Myself” campaign flips the script on singlehood, creating a feel-good, empowering anthem about enjoying the pleasure of your own company. The new cover serves as a jumping off point for conversations about the importance of connectivity for everyone, including connections that extend beyond the traditional family.

“Surrounded by moments and holidays that celebrate couples, Visible is proud to embrace singlehood and foster connectivity and savings in a way that truly fits our customers’ lives, with affordable one-line wireless,” said Cheryl Gresham, CMO of Verizon Value. “Maren’s cover of ‘Dancing with Myself’ perfectly encapsulates the beauty and power that comes with being in total control of your own life.”

“When Visible approached Columbia Records with their Singles Awareness Day campaign, Maren Morris immediately came to mind as she represents female independence,” said Jennifer Frommer, SVP Partnerships & Commercial Sync, Columbia Records. “She is a change maker and force to be reckoned with in both music and advocacy. We’re thrilled with the outcome of this project and her incredible reimagined version of “Dancing with Myself.”

The fully-integrated campaign debuts today on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. “Dancing with Myself (reimagined)” is available on Spotify and other streaming services, making it entirely digital and accessible to everyone – just like Visible’s wireless service.
