COMPANY EXPANDS RELIANCE ON TELELINK MEDIATION AND REPORTING PLATFORM
(NASHVILLE, TN) March 2, 2022 – Equinox Information Systems, a leading software solutions provider who currently processes over 2 billion records a day for telecommunications companies around the world, is pleased to announce an extended partnership with United Wireless, a division of United Telephone. The two companies forged a relationship in 2015 when United Wireless licensed the TeleLink platform from Equinox to mediate and filter records for delivery to multiple trading partner and billing systems as well as to generate extensive ad hoc reports of their network activity.
For 70 years, United Telephone has been serving the communications needs of their neighbors in Southwest Kansas. Their commitment to excellent coverage has resulted in network growth as well as additional roaming and business agreements with other carriers. Therefore, in the 6 years after the initial agreement, United Wireless expanded their use of the TeleLink application to include several new data sources, mediate additional network traffic, and deliver outputs to new data targets. Based on the importance of the system’s reports to their revenue assurance and cost management efforts, United Wireless also recently elected to license and upgrade to the TeleLink 7 version of the system.
“United Wireless is committed to offering the best value and services to our customers. TeleLink’s extensive reporting gives us the clear, comprehensive view of network activity, roaming, and on-net/ off-net usage that we need to support this initiative,” explained Riley Schmidt, Network Supervisor for United Wireless “The Equinox support and implementation team has always provided outstanding service but especially so when completing the TeleLink 7 deployment last year.”
TeleLink’s powerful mediation engine accepts records from multiple different network sources, standardizes the files, and then outputs data that is formatted and routed for delivery to the receiving system(s). As TeleLink processes these records, it compiles a searchable data warehouse, which allows virtually limitless reporting, along with analysis and identification of revenue assurance opportunities, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies.
“Relationships matter the most to us,” noted Equinox EVP David West. “Equinox values the trust we’ve established with United Wireless and recognize it speaks volumes when they not only continue to rely on us but also seek assistance with other projects based on their past experience with our solutions.”
