Trystar Introduces Its Rebranded SER-32e Sequence Of Events Recorder With Advanced Capabilities

Faribault, Minnesota. – October 7, 2026 – Trystar, LLC has introduced a rebranded and updated version of its SER-32e Sequence Of Events Recorder, incorporating new cybersecurity, communications, and user-interface capabilities while maintaining the core event-recording functionality established by this solution. As part of this updated offering, the product branding has transitioned from its former Cyber Sciences brand (a Trystar acquisition in 2023), and now includes several advanced capabilities and quality improvements, including:

  • QR code that links to the SER-32e product page on Trystar.com.
  • Enhanced web user-interface, supporting both light and dark themes.
  • Cybersecurity enhancements including a System (Audit) Log, a second Administrator account, the use of JWT (Json Web Token) for authentication, and secure MODBUS protocol.
  • Time synchronization protocol support expansion to include C37.118 and IEEE 1344.
  • Implementation of SNMP (v2c and 3) with MIB 2, a custom MIB, Informs, and Traps.

Importantly, the core functionality of the SER-32e that Trystar’s customers rely upon remains unchanged. The SER-32e continues to provide 1 millisecond event timestamping across 32+ inputs, helping facilities quickly identify the root cause of power system events, minimize downtime, accelerate recovery efforts, and maintain detailed records for operational and compliance needs.
