GNX to bring simplicity and speed to last-mile sourcing between Equinix and the edge

Equinix customers will gain access to GNX’s automated platform to easily quote, order, and manage last-mile connectivity between Equinix Fabric® and the enterprise edge.

Amsterdam, 20th October 2026.-  GNX, a leading global provider of internet and private connectivity, today announced the integration of its GNX+ into the Equinix Fabric Marketplace. This milestone gives Equinix customers direct access to GNX’s global portfolio of last-mile services through their automated, carrier-neutral platform to source, order, and manage connectivity, in a seamless and straightforward way.

The part AI can’t answer for you

Enterprise workloads have moved outward. Inference runs in factories, retail sites, and branch offices; and the traffic those sites generate must reach a data center or the cloud. Equinix operates more than 280 data centers across 77 metros, so the destination is rarely the hard part. Getting to it is.

Every branch, plant, and legacy site operates in its own local market with its own providers, pricing, and lead times. No single carrier covers all of them, which is why a multi-country rollout becomes a stack of separate quotes and contracts.

Teams pointing AI tools at that problem soon run into their limitations. Even the most capable AI will only draw on publicly available information. Often, outdated or incomplete data. It cannot tell you which provider serves a specific street address, at what price, on what install date, under which SLA. That data sits with the providers, and it changes constantly.

Enter GNX. The company maintains direct relationships with more than 3,000 ISPs across 190+ countries. Its platform, GNX+, turns those relationships into live, comparable options for a given address.

“Since launch, GNX+ has been a lifeline to procurement and networking teams when sourcing and managing global internet access. With this collaboration, we are extending our platform’s capability to source point-to-point access, supporting Equinix customers in finding the best connectivity between their sites (of any kind) and their Equinix Fabric footprint.” – Rick Mur, CTO and Co-Founder, GNX

Bringing more options to Equinix customers

Through GNX+, Equinix customers across EMEA can:

–     Quote a site by address and compare competing providers side by side, with bandwidth, term, price, and lead time visible before committing.

–     Order in the same flow, under one GNX contract, instead of negotiating locally, country by country.

–     Bring their existing last mile circuits under the same roof – single pane of glass visibility.

–     Track provisioning and monitor live services in one place, backed by GNX’s 24/7 NOC.

–     Raise and follow tickets per site, anywhere in the world.

“Enterprises are distributing cloud and AI workloads across more locations than ever, and the last mile is often where complexity builds. With GNX+ in Equinix Fabric Marketplace, customers can source and manage last-mile access from a broad pool of local providers through one automated platform, making it simpler to extend Equinix Fabric ® to the enterprise edge.” – Johan Arts, Senior Vice President of Sales, Equinix

GNX+ can be accessed via the Fabric Marketplace within the Equinix Customer Portal.
