Datadog Launches Observability Maturity Assessment Partner Program Across A/NZ

Regional program funds participating partners to deliver evidence-based observability reviews as cloud complexity, cost pressure, and AI adoption reshape monitoring needs

SYDNEY, Australia – October 15, 2026 – Datadog, Inc., the leading AI-powered observability and security platform, today announced the Observability Maturity Assessment (OMA) Partner Program in Australia and New Zealand. The program is designed to help participating partners deliver structured, evidence-based observability reviews to organisations across the region.

As monitoring and observability estates grow, driven by cloud migration, containerisation, and AI workload adoption, many businesses lack a clear, current view of what their tooling actually covers, what it costs, and where the gaps are. Because monitoring is often mistakenly treated as background infrastructure, these issues tend to surface only during an incident or a budget cycle, rather than through a deliberate review.

As a partner-led technical review, OMA maps out an organisation’s monitoring coverage, how deeply it’s instrumented, and where the service boundaries sit. It surfaces blind spots, alerts weaknesses, cost drivers, and security hygiene concerns. The organisation is scored against a five-stage maturity model, running from entry-level monitoring to fully autonomous operations. The assessment then lays out a path forward, and closes with a business-facing summary that translates technical detail for non-technical stakeholders.

The assessment is aimed at organisations whose observability estate has outgrown their ability to manage it. This includes businesses that have accumulated multiple overlapping monitoring or security tools without clear visibility into what each delivers, as well as organisations mid-way through cloud migration or platform modernisation. It also applies to teams adopting AI and machine learning workloads that existing tooling wasn’t built to handle, and organisations facing cost pressure around monitoring and log spend.

The five System Integrators (SIs) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) taking part in the program are AC3, DX1, Mantel, Synechron, and DDS IT.

“Our partners are the ones already embedded in these environments – with strong customer relationships and deep knowledge of the tooling, history, and pain points. This program extends the support we already provide with dedicated funding and a repeatable methodology, so partners can deliver value at scale,” said Renee Mitsis, Head of Channel and Alliances for A/NZ at Datadog. “The program is purpose-built for the A/NZ market, shaped around regional maturity profiles and buying patterns instead of a one-size-fits-all global template.”

Fabio Carvana, Head of Managed Services, Mantel, said, “As environments become more intricate through cloud growth and AI integration, our clients need to show what their observability investment delivers for the business. Datadog’s Observability Maturity Assessment gives us a clear, data-driven way to benchmark where each client stands and build a roadmap tailored to their goals. As a launch partner, Mantel will help organisations turn those findings into measurable improvements in how their systems perform.”

Simon Browne, CEO at DDS IT, said, “Business leaders need confidence that their critical services are covered and their technology spend is delivering value. Datadog’s Observability Maturity Assessment gives DDS IT a structured way to help customers identify blind spots, understand what drives monitoring costs and prioritise improvements. We’ll use it to build a practical roadmap with each customer towards more reliable services and greater automation, with investment focused where it will make the biggest difference.”

Participating partners will receive a Datadog-funded incentive credit for each qualifying assessment delivered along with an enablement session with their Datadog partner sales manager and partner solutions architect. They will also receive a structured methodology and reporting template, and ongoing Datadog technical support through the assessment and any follow-on engagement.

“We’ve seen environments grow considerably more complex as early AI workloads expand telemetry volume and variety beyond what many monitoring systems were designed for – giving attackers more static to hide beneath,” said Mitsis. “With increased scrutiny and expectations, security must operate as part of the same picture, alongside performance and cost. This assessment measures how an organisation’s security posture stacks up alongside everything else, from entry-level monitoring through to autonomous, self-directed operations.”

“Each of these shifts pull organisations further from an accurate picture of their own environment,” Mitsis added. “This isn’t an industry-specific problem; complexity is a common thread, wherever a business happens to sit, and OMA gives them a measurable read on where they stand, rather than a general sense of it.”

The OMA Partner Program sits within the existing Datadog Partner Network. Opportunities are registered through Datadog’s partner portal.
