MOX Networks is proud to announce it has been shortlisted for the Infrastructure Award at the World Communication Awards 2026, recognizing the company’s continued investment in building high-capacity, resilient network infrastructure for an increasingly data-intensive world.
New for 2026, the Infrastructure Award acknowledges organizations building the physical infrastructure underpinning global connectivity including fiber, subsea networks, data centers, and other critical communications infrastructure.
MOX’s entry highlighted the evolution of its network and an infrastructure strategy shaped by some of the industry’s most demanding connectivity requirements. Originally developed to support the growing volumes of data associated with healthcare and genomics, MOX has evolved into a commercial network infrastructure provider supporting hyperscalers, carriers, cloud providers, and other bandwidth-intensive customers.
MOX has continued to expand across terrestrial and subsea infrastructure, including its growing trans-Pacific presence. MOX acquired spectrum on Google’s Topaz subsea cable, extending its connectivity between North America and Japan and complementing its existing terrestrial infrastructure on both sides of the Pacific.
The entry also highlighted MOX’s investment in advanced network technology, including its work with Ciena to deploy high-capacity optical solutions designed to increase network capacity, scalability, and efficiency for AI infrastructure.
Together, these investments demonstrate MOX’s approach to building infrastructure capable of supporting rapidly growing data requirements across AI, cloud, healthcare, and the wider digital economy. Read more about how MOX is building networks for the AI era from our ITW 2026 blog.
MOX is shortlisted alongside Chunghwa Telecom, Intellian Technologies, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, Orange Wholesale, Singtel Digital InfraCo, stc Bahrain, and Sterlite Technologies.
The winners of the World Communication Awards 2026 will be announced on November 25, 2026.
