Building Innovative F5G-A Industry Solutions for the AI Era

In industrial scenarios, optical fiber sensing provides rich, high-quality data to fuel AI applications. Huawei has launched the fiber sensing solution for idler health prediction, which can collect abnormal sound data of idlers in harsh production environments around the clock. This solution uses AI algorithms to accurately predict idler faults, ensuring the safety of belt conveyors in various industries, such as building materials, mining, smelting, thermal power, and port.

  • In power grid scenarios, massive data is the foundation of intelligence, and real-time management and control of renewable energy is the key to power grid transformation. Huawei has upgraded its next-generation optical communication networks to continuously improve data collection capabilities and transmission safety, facilitating intelligent transformation of power grids. On the transformer district side, Huawei’s high-speed power line communication (HPLC) dual-mode solution has been widely applied in power grids around the world and is evolving to super-high-speed power line communication (SPLC). This further improves data collection efficiency and success rates, and implements group control and adjustment of renewable energy within milliseconds. On the power transmission and transformation side, Huawei has launched OTN products that integrate communication and quantum encryption, and has made innovations in optical cable safety and timing safety, continuously improving the safety of data transmission and token distribution.
  • For SuperPoDs and clusters, Huawei has launched the OptiXtrans OCS800, an optical circuit switch (OCS) designed to support efficient data training and token production. This product features high-density non-blocking optical switching, low latency, ultra-high reliability, and ultra-low power consumption. In addition, the OCS is protocol-agnostic and rate-independent, and can flexibly match multi-generation and heterogeneous computing cards, forming a cluster computing power resource pool that can be flexibly scheduled to maximize performance.
  • For AI campuses, Huawei has launched the iFTTO solution to accelerate data transfer, guarantee AI Agent experiences, and build intelligent campuses integrating network, sensing, computing, and control. Through four upgrades, 10 Gbps access, multi-dimensional sensing, open IoT, and intelligent O&M, this solution builds an efficient, green, and secure foundation for intelligent campuses, ensuring intelligent experiences in education, healthcare, hospitality, and other industries. To date, more than 18,000 campus customers worldwide have adopted the FTTO solution to elevate digital and intelligent application experiences.

In the ISP optical broadband field, focusing on the scenario-based requirements for “upgrading Wi-Fi experiences, reshaping FBB services, and innovating toB services,” Huawei has leveraged AI technology to create the AI-FAN solution, driving new ISP growth in the token consumption era. This includes the launch of a full series of tri-band Wi-Fi 7 products, which use AI to ensure guaranteed Wi-Fi experiences. Additionally, Huawei has innovated the trouble-free ONT technology and introduced the FANSpirit O&M agent to enable zero-site-visit self-service and remote intelligent O&M, thereby boosting user satisfaction.

F5G-A All-Optical Showcase Sites Set Global Standards for Digital and Intelligent Transformation

During the summit, Huawei also introduced its global F5G-A all-optical showcase sites, including Indonesia’s Fiberstar, Shanghai Lianqiu Lake Power Station, Muscat International Airport, Yunnan Construction and Investment Group, Hangzhou Senbo Resort Hotel, Thailand’s G-Tower building, Zhongce Rubber Group’s Chaoyang Factory, and CONCH Cement. These showcase sites span key sectors including ISP, electric power, transportation, logistics, hospitality, office, and manufacturing, delivering referenceable “Optical-AI Convergence” practice paradigms to accelerate digital and intelligent transformation across industries.

Facing the AI era, Huawei will continue to innovate in the optical domain, working with customers and partners to accelerate the deployment of F5G-A all-optical networks and power AI for all industries.

Themed Advancing the Agentic World, HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 will delve into AI across three dimensions: strategy, technology, and ecosystems. FAQs:

Q1: What is OCS?
Optical Circuit Switch (OCS) is a device used for data transmission and switching based on optical signals. It relies on internal micro-reflectors to alter the propagation path of optical signals, achieving high-speed, large-capacity optical signal routing and switching without requiring any optical-electrical conversion throughout the entire process.
