Summit Broadband Promotes Ernie Hoffmann to Chief Operations Officer

ORLANDO — Summit Broadband, a leading fiber Internet and technology company serving Florida, today announced the promotion of Ernie Hoffmann to Chief Operations Officer. Hoffmann previously served as Executive Vice President of Operations, where he played a key role in strengthening the company’s operational foundation and enabling continued growth across Florida.

In his expanded role, Hoffmann will lead Summit Broadband’s end-to-end operations organization, overseeing OSP Construction, Field Services, Project Management, Engineering, Network Operations, Service Delivery, and Contact Center operations. He will be responsible for delivering operational excellence, driving scalable growth, and ensuring a best-in-class customer experience as the company continues to expand its fiber network throughout the state.

Hoffmann brings more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications operations and engineering to the role. Prior to joining Summit Broadband, he served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Fulfillment at FiberLight. He has also held leadership roles, including Vice President of Service Delivery and Fulfillment at Lightpath and Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations at FiberNet Telecom Group.

Hoffmann holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Boston University and a Master of Science in Telecommunications and Computing Management from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University.
