Indigo Appoints Nick Barton as Chief Revenue Officer to Help More Organisations Deliver Hyperscale Performance

Barton brings experience at Aqua Comms, Verizon Business and Colt and will lead Indigo’s continued growth with hyperscalers and digital infrastructure providers

Magor, UK, 24th June 2026 – Indigo Telecom Group, a strategic partner for critical digital infrastructure, has appointed Nick Barton as its Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). As Indigo’s CRO, Barton will lead the company’s commercial strategy, drive international growth and deepen strategic relationships across subsea, data centre, cloud, carrier, fixed and mobile networks.

Barton brings over 25 years of experience to Indigo, serving most recently as Chief Commercial Officer at Aqua Comms. Prior to this, he held senior roles at Verizon Business and Colt Technology Services. His appointment will drive the alignment of commercial strategy with Indigo’s unified global operating model improving operational control for hyperscalers, carriers, subsea cable owners and digital infrastructure providers.

“Indigo has a strong foundation supporting hyperscalers, carriers and network operators with the operational experience needed to keep essential infrastructure running reliably,” said Nick Barton, Chief Revenue Officer at Indigo. “With a best-in-class global operating model the opportunity now is to translate that expertise into hyperscale performance for every customer. I am excited to work with the team as we drive that excellence and scale worldwide.”

Indigo operates across 90+ countries under one unified model. It brings together delivery, support, field engineering and service operations for 24×7 operational control.

“Nick’s appointment comes at an important time for Indigo as we continue to scale our global service capabilities,” said Michel Robert, CEO at Indigo. “His commercial experience, customer insight and background across hyperscaler accounts and international connectivity make him the perfect fit to support Indigo’s next stage of growth. We’re pleased to welcome Nick to the team as we enable trusted operational performance through real-time connectivity.”

The strategic appointment reinforces Indigo’s focus on enabling hyperscale performance through global capability, local expertise and operational excellence. This builds on recent momentum, including Indigo’s Heads of Terms with Aqua Comms and its partnership with Trans Pacific Networks to support critical subsea operations across the US and Asia.
