Zayo Europe Joins GNM-IX

GNM announces that Zayo Europe has joined GNM-IX, further strengthening the pan-European interconnection ecosystem.

GNM-IX currently interconnects over 700 ASNs and supports more than 10.7 Tbps of peak traffic, providing carrier-neutral, high-performance traffic exchange across key European markets. By establishing a presence there, Zayo Europe gains direct access to a diverse and rapidly growing community of carriers, ISPs, cloud platforms and content networks.

Zayo Europe operates one of the most extensive fibre infrastructures in the region, connecting major metro markets and data centres across Europe. Its high-capacity, low-latency backbone complements GNM’s DWDM network, creating additional interconnection opportunities and enhanced traffic optimisation for customers on both sides.

This milestone builds on the strong partnership already established between the teams. Following successful transport collaboration, Zayo Europe’s participation in GNM-IX further deepens technical integration and enables additional value through optimized, low-latency interconnection across multiple European corridors.

“We are pleased to welcome Zayo Europe to GNM-IX. Their extensive fibre infrastructure across major European markets naturally complements our distributed Internet Exchange built on GNM’s DWDM backbone. By establishing presence in GNM-IX, Zayo Europe gains direct access to a rapidly growing peering ecosystem while enabling additional interconnection opportunities for networks across our platform,” said Ahmed Eidarous, International Development Manager at GNM.

GNM and Zayo Europe look forward to continued joint initiatives that strengthen resilient, scalable connectivity across the continent.
