CloserStill Media Launches Digital Infrastructure World (DIW) In Silicon Valley with Open Compute Project (OCP) as Collaboration Partner in February 2027

First-of-its-kind Forum to Unite the Full Stack of Digital Innovation, ‘From Silicon to Systems to Data Centers’

SAN JOSE, Calif. — April 22, 2026 — CloserStill Media,(CSM) the producer of market-leading global data center events, announces the launch of Digital Infrastructure World (DIW), a premier U.S. event uniting hyperscalers, enterprise adopters and elite data center operators in one strategic forum.

The sector has reached a clear inflection point: the traditional separation of IT and OT/Data Centers is no longer fit for the demands of modern AI data center infrastructure,” said Yancy Weinrich, U.S. President of CloserStill Media. “Digital Infrastructure World reflects both where the market is heading and the gap it has yet to fill—serving as the first global forum dedicated to the convergence of IT and OT/Data Centers required to design, architect, and scale next-generation AI infrastructure. In collaboration with the Open Compute Project and taking place in the heart of the world’s leading silicon and systems ecosystem, we are creating a powerful platform to convene hyperscalers, enterprise leaders, neocloud platforms, and colocation operators. Most importantly, DIW brings together the engineers and operators who turn design ambition into deployed infrastructure—building a forum grounded in real-world implementation and meaningful collaboration.”

Digital Infrastructure World represents an expansion of CloserStill Media’s established and award-winning Data Centre World global portfolio, which includes events in London, Frankfurt, Paris, Madrid and Singapore that brought together more than 33,000 unique attendees and over 1,200 sponsors in 2025. The company also recently announced the launch of Data Center Americas, scheduled to take place March 31-April 1, 2027, in Washington, D.C.

In collaboration with Open Compute Project (OCP), a global non-profit organization bringing hyperscale innovations to all, the inaugural edition will debut February 3-4, 2027, at the San Jose Convention Center in the heart of Silicon Valley.

By bringing together the Open Compute Project (OCP)’s core ecosystem of hyperscale operators, silicon innovators, and OEMs with CloserStill Media’s Data Centre World powerful base of data center facilities leaders and end users across colocation, enterprise, and Tier 2 cloud, this event uniquely addresses the industry’s “missing middle discussion”— accelerating alignment between IT and OT in a way that moves beyond trend-following events to actively shape the next phase of digital infrastructure.

Digital Infrastructure World creates a dynamic, hands-on environment for the OCP Community to share the specific challenges of scaling high-performance and AI-accelerated compute within the physical facility in support of OCP’s Open Data Center for AI Strategic Initiative,” said George Tchaparian, CEO of the Open Compute Project Foundation. “By bringing together the architects of both the silicon, IT Infrastructure and the data center facility, this event allows us to leverage hyperscale innovations and cascade them across the entire infrastructure continuum and out to the grid. It provides the neutral ground necessary for discussing how to align the industry on the standards and deployment strategies that will define the AI era.”

For the OCP Community, this collaboration expands on its highly respected annual OCP Global Summit in San Jose, which drew a record attendance of near 11,000 attendees in 2025.  Held each October, the Summit attracts attendees from across the globe to share insights, foster partnerships and showcase cutting-edge advancements in open hardware and software.

Digital Infrastructure World’s inaugural edition is expected to bring together 3,500 attendees and a carefully curated group of no more than 150 leading organizations from across the IT and OT communities.
