Richardson, Texas 14th April – 2026: Cambridge Broadband Networks Group (CBNG) today announced the opening of a new operations hub in Richardson, within the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area, expanding its ability to support customers deploying next-generation Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) networks across the United States.
FWA delivers high-speed broadband using wireless signals instead of traditional fiber or cable connections. Demand for FWA continues to accelerate across the US, as operators look to deliver connectivity more quickly and cost-effectively.
The new facility will support the deployment of CBNG’s latest FWA solution, VectaStar NR, a next-generation platform delivering multi-gigabit, fiber-like performance using 5G- technology. A key differentiator of VectaStar NR is its full compliance with 3GPP 5G standards, giving operators confidence in a solution aligned with the global 5G ecosystem. This gives operators a standards-based alternative to proprietary fixed wireless systems, enabling greater flexibility in network design and vendor choice.
The hub will also serve as a combined distribution, configuration and technical support center, enabling customers to accelerate deployment of high-capacity wireless infrastructure with CBNG.
“We expect to grow to around 20 roles in Richardson over the next 12 to 24 months,” said Nedko Ivanov, CEO of CBNG.
“This is a major milestone for CBNG and reflects our long-term commitment to the US market. By establishing a local presence, we can support customers more closely, accelerate delivery and provide hands-on technical expertise and training.”
Approximately half of the facility is dedicated to warehousing and logistics, including receiving, staging, configuration, quality assurance and nationwide distribution of customer systems. The remaining space supports a growing engineering function, including lab environments where teams can replicate and troubleshoot issues in real time, helping to accelerate resolution and enhance overall network performance.
The facility will also be used to host hands-on customer demos in the coming months, showcasing installation, commissioning, live capacity performance, and network management in action.
The Dallas hub enables CBNG to operate closer to its customers, improving delivery times, strengthening quality control and enabling faster collaboration on network deployments and support. The expansion will also create a range of operational and technical roles, including support engineering, systems configuration, lab engineering, warehouse and logistics operations, customer training and site management.
Dallas–Fort Worth is home to a high concentration of network operators, technology vendors, supply-chain partners and highly skilled engineering talent, making it an ideal location for CBNG’s first US location and a strong foundation for its future growth in the market.
For a British telecoms company, this marks a pivotal milestone – transitioning from serving the US market remotely to building a dedicated, on-the-ground operation.
