IQ Fiber Enters Delaware, Bringing a Smarter Internet Choice to the First State

Fast-growing fiber provider gives Delaware residents and businesses a new choice: 100% fiber-optic internet with no contracts, no hidden fees, and 24/7 human support

Dover, DE – March 30, 2026 – IQ Fiber today marked a significant milestone in its Eastern U.S. expansion, officially opening for business in Delaware, the company’s fifth state. The Jacksonville, Florida-based provider of 100% fiber-optic internet service launched service in Kent County, which becomes the first community in Delaware to be served by IQ Fiber’s all-fiber network. The entry into Delaware reflects IQ Fiber’s disciplined, customer-first growth strategy and its commitment to giving residents and businesses a better broadband option – with exceptional in-house 24/7 customer support, transparent pricing, whole-home WiFi and no contracts or data caps.

“Delaware residents have had limited options when it comes to internet service, and that’s exactly why we’re here,” said Ted Schremp, CEO of IQ Fiber. “Our approach is simple, build a modern 100% fiber network and power it with great people that live and work in the markets we serve. We offer straightforward pricing, no contracts, and support from real people who understand the importance of a having a consistent, reliable internet connection.”

The Kent County launch marks the beginning of a more than $150 million investment by IQ Fiber in the state of Delaware. The network deployment is expected to continue for the next 18-24 months and create more than 50 permanent jobs in the state.

“Delaware is growing, our infrastructure needs to keep pace, and IQ Fiber’s investment in our state is exactly the kind of private sector commitment that creates jobs and expands connectivity for our residents,” said Governor Matt Meyer. “When state government, local communities, and private companies work together, projects like this move forward the way they should. That’s what our Permitting Accelerator is designed to support, and it’s why we’re committed to being a willing partner every step of the way.”

State Representative Rich Yearick welcomed the company’s investment in Kent County.

“Expanding access to high-speed, reliable internet is critical to Delaware’s economic future and quality of life,” said Representative Yearick. “We’re glad to welcome IQ Fiber to our community and look forward to the opportunities that greater connectivity creates for our residents and businesses.”

IQ Fiber will participate in the new Priority Broadband project designation under Governor Meyer’s Permitting Accelerator, a program designed to fast-track infrastructure projects that expand connectivity and drive economic growth. The designation coordinates review across state agencies, cutting through red tape to accelerate the permitting process and get communities connected faster.

“Delaware has made it clear that infrastructure is a priority and we are pleased to do our part. The Priority Broadband Project designation will allow us to streamline our network deployment and get more Delaware residents and businesses connected. When government and the private sector are aligned, great things happen for communities,” added Schremp.

IQ Fiber’s all-fiber network delivers symmetrical speeds up to 10 gigabits per second, 99.99% reliability, and consistent wall to wall coverage built for streaming, remote work, gaming, and business productivity. Plans start at $65 per month and include professional installation and whole-home WiFi 7 service. Unlike traditional providers, IQ Fiber backs its service with a Stress-Free Guarantee: no contracts, no hidden fees, no data caps, and in-house experts who proactively monitor every customer connection. To support its long-term presence in the state, IQ Fiber has established its Sales, Engineering, and Technical Operations Center at 631 Ridgely Street, Suite 16, in Dover, which will serve as a hub for network deployment and customer support as the company continues to expand across Delaware.

To mark the Delaware launch, IQ Fiber will celebrate the day with three events: an official ribbon cutting at its Dover operations office at 2:00 PM, a cabinet signing ceremony to thank the team that brought the network to light at 4:30 PM, and an evening Fiberhood party from 5:30–7:30 PM at Cool Springs Fish Bar & Restaurant, where residents, civic leaders, and community members are invited to meet the team, learn about service plans, and celebrate the arrival of IQ Fiber in Delaware.

The IQ Fiber Delaware network is built on a modern XGS-PON platform (10-Gigabit Symmetrical Passive Optical Network) and features a fully redundant core fiber-optic ring with multi-city connections to the broader internet. The deployment consists of an IQ Fiber-owned and -operated backbone which extends directly into homes and businesses, enabling reliable, consistent speeds while supporting continued growth in data usage and demand.

With its entry into Delaware, IQ Fiber now operates in five states across the Eastern U.S. The company’s network serves customers in Jacksonville and Gainesville, Florida; Savannah, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina and various markets across the Chesapeake Bay Region of MD. Construction is currently underway in St. Petersburg and Pinellas County, Florida.
