11 February 2026, Jersey City: Denham Capital, the global private equity & credit infrastructure investment firm, announces the appointment of Rick Drescher as an Operating Partner.
Mr. Drescher joins the Sustainable Infrastructure business, supporting their global investment strategy of deploying on-site, reliable power solutions to help data center developers and hyperscalers energize their facilities years ahead of full grid connectivity.
He brings over 25-years’ experience specializing in mission-critical infrastructure and data center projects. He joins from Savills where he was co-founder and technical lead of the North American data center practice and has previously held senior technical and engineering positions at Studley, Pangaia Partners and Everest Broadband Networks.
Mr. Drescher will work closely with the investment and portfolio company management teams that are currently screening projects totaling more than 10 gigawatts of capacity to ensure high quality engagement with current and prospective partners in the data center ecosystem.
Denham’s recent launch of Gray Oak Power, a US-based developer and operator of firm power infrastructure, marked a key milestone in the firm’s power-for-data-centers investment strategy. Mr. Drescher is joining Denham Capital at a crucial time and will play a leading role in supporting the firm’s pipeline of on-site power projects partnering with developers and operators. Having successfully led and supported on over 25 hyperscale and 100 enterprise transactions over the course of his career, Mr. Drescher’s experience complements Denham Capital’s own 20-year history of developing, building and operating gigawatts of gas-fired and renewable power assets.
Rick Drescher, Operating Partner at Denham Capital, said: “Joining Denham at such a pivotal moment for the data center industry is hugely exciting. From the outset, I’ve been impressed by the strength of the platform the team has built and their commitment to deliver innovative, tailored solutions to partners across the industry”.
Justin DeAngelis, Global Head of Sustainable Infrastructure at Denham Capital, commented: “Rick’s exceptional record of accomplishments and ability to navigate the complexities of power and energy solutions in partnership with large scale data center developers, makes him well-placed to support our power-for-data center investment practice. We are delighted to welcome Rick to Denham Capital and know he’ll be a great asset to the team.”
