HGC Global Communications Extends Full Support to Residents Affected by Tai Po Fire

Hong Kong, 1 December 2025 — The recent fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po has caused severe damage, leaving numerous residents displaced from their homes. HGC Global Communications (“HGC” or the “Group”) expresses deep concern over the incident and has implemented a series of measures. The Group stands united with the community to overcome this challenging time.

1. Support During Transition Period HGC immediately waived broadband and/or voice service monthly fees for existing customers at Wang Fuk Court on the night of the incident, effective until further notice (impacted customers have been notified via SMS). Simultaneously, the Group continued to enhance free broadband or Wi-Fi connectivity at community support centers and transitional housing, and proactively offered assistance to relevant hotels.

2. Support at New Residences When affected HGC customers relocate to new homes, the Group will waive broadband and/or voice service monthly fees for 24 months, as well as relocation and installation fee.

3. Expansion of Mobile Network Bandwidth Being the Hong Kong’s largest mobile cell site leased lines services provider, HGC has proactively expanded the associated bandwidth in Tai Po areas at no cost to three mobile network operators, enhancing stable and seamless mobile services for users in the district.

4. Employee Participation HGC has organized multiple initiatives for employees, including internal fundraising and blood donation activities (in touch with the Hong Kong Red Cross).

For assistance, please contact HGC’s customer service hotline at 1223.

Terms and conditions apply. The above measures are limited to areas within HGC’s network coverage.
