Fiber Support for Data Center Demand Key to Mission Plans
Dallas, TX – OCTOBER 28, 2025 – FiberLight LLC, a leading provider of high-capacity fiber-optic networks and connectivity services, today announced a significant investment in key infrastructure to support the organization’s continued expansion, geographic reach, and capacity across West Texas. FiberLight’s longstanding expertise is being utilized in the laying of approximately 1,000 new route miles across Texas.
In addition to expanding route miles, the FiberLight investment includes overbuilding a significant portion of its comprehensive West Texas network to support large-scale data center demand and increasing its middle-mile network to support regional and local carriers, as well as public institutions.
“West Texas has been an important proving ground for our team to demonstrate both our company’s ethos in connecting underserved communities as well as our technical capabilities,” said Bill Major, CEO of FiberLight. “Delivering fiber to the area’s Region 16 school district speaks to our mission to enrich communities with world-class broadband capabilities while being instrumental in fulfilling the bigger, shared goal in the AI Race puts us at the epicenter of transformational change.”
As a central player driving West Texas’ development into one of the country’s top markets for AI, FiberLight’s investment is critical to other stakeholders, such as hyperscalers and NeoCloud providers. As new companies emerge, FiberLight is building its network to support both the geographic and capacity needs of these multi-billion-dollar data center investments.
Establishing Regional, Texas Credentials
Over the last several years, FiberLight has established itself across various regions of Texas through projects such as the Stargate Project, for which FiberLight was the first fiber provider. The company has also made investments in the region, including the build-out of SH-130, the North Houston Highway Improvement Project (NHHIP), and the Red Oak expansion, part of the Loop 9 Southeast Project, south of Dallas. FiberLight’s ability to fulfill massive project demands has persisted across regional projects with numerous data center, AI, and hyperscale organizations.
