1 October 2025 CityFibre, the UK’s largest independent full fibre platform, today announced its rate of customer connections is close to doubling quarter-on-quarter, with 108,000 customers connected in Q3 2025 (Q2 2025: 58,000), a new record for the company.
CityFibre now has around 730,000 customer connections, with growth accelerating across its ISP partners. In July, Sky launched across CityFibre’s nationwide network1, joining an ISP line-up that serves around 50% of the UK broadband market.
Having completed its 10Gb XGS-PON upgrade ahead of schedule and rolled out a market-leading 5.5Gb wholesale product, CityFibre is cementing its position as the UK’s wholesale provider of choice thanks to its ability to offer ISP partners the best economics, the best products and the best service.
Simon Holden, CEO of CityFibre, said: “Our rate of customer growth has real momentum, with our ISP partners making the most of CityFibre’s market-leading services and growing across our full fibre network.
“We are proving the strength of CityFibre’s wholesale business model as we reach an inflection point, with our recent financing providing the firepower to significantly expand our reach through acquisitions and bring world-class digital infrastructure to people, businesses and communities across the UK.”
The sales performance from CityFibre’s Internet Service Provider (ISP) partners continues to accelerate and is delivering significant revenue and EBITDA growth for the company: Q3 2025 revenue was £43m, (Q3 2024: £34m), with an annualised run rate of £172m, up 26% year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA was £7.6m in Q3 2025, (Q3 2024: £1.4m) up more than five times year-on-year, and now at an annualised run rate of £30m.
The company’s Q3 performance coincides with the landmark £2.3 billion financing that will further accelerate the company’s growth. Announced in July 2025, CityFibre has secured £500m in new equity from shareholders, a £960m expansion of existing debt facilities, and an additional accordion facility of £800m2. With the financing now concluded, CityFibre is well-positioned to ramp up market consolidation and transform the reach of its network and number of premises passed3.
