GNM expands its presence in the Netherlands with new Amsterdam PoP

GNM has launched a new Point of Presence (PoP) in Amsterdam, further strengthening its extensive footprint in the Netherlands.

Located at Digital Realty AMS17 (Science Park 120, Amsterdam), the new site enhances GNM’s interconnection presence in one of Europe’s most important connectivity hubs. With this addition, GNM now operates across 11 data centres in Amsterdam, including facilities at Equinix, Nikhef, and Digital Realty.

According to the company, the expansion provides customers with increased resilience, low-latency connectivity, and direct access to GNM-IX and backbone transport services. The wider Amsterdam footprint allows telecom operators, ISPs, and content providers to interconnect seamlessly while benefiting from GNM’s high-capacity backbone linking the Netherlands with other European markets.

GNM business development director, Alex Surkoff, said:

«Amsterdam is a critical hub for European connectivity, and the addition of AMS17 reflects our commitment to delivering more value to our customers. With 11 PoPs now live in the city, we can support partners with even more resilient, scalable, and high-performance interconnection options. This expansion is another step forward in strengthening GNM’s role in building a robust digital ecosystem across Europe».

Looking ahead, GNM plans to continue expanding its network in strategic European markets, providing enterprises, cloud providers, and carriers with access to a reliable connectivity infrastructure.
